End users often struggle with the dual scrollbars when they enter long contents. It seems like a good usability improvement, though I guess a few people may find it annoying.
Very smart improvement. dont let the user think ("i need to resize this box *because* I want to type text and see in the context") , but help the user ("I want to type text and see in the context").
Many users won't realize that they can drag the grippie, but this solution gives them more room automagically. From the user prospective it's simple-and-easy. From the developer prospective, they don't need to start with a big textarea for something that might not have a lot of content.
... this is useless. Why would you even waste your time making the text box move like that? I mean, people will flip when they see that their browser continues to grow grow grow!
Nah, this is really sweet. The owner of my company could possibly say that this will confuse the most simple of people. After all, this is the same guy that said using ToolMan's drag-n-drop script so visually see what you're moving was too much and too confusing, so it's possible. I think it's a wicked feature. Thanks for sharing Steven.
that is cool
If my sister in law ever saw your blog, she'd make me do that for her site. I suppose I'd better upgrade it soon.
Great idea
